“THIS IS A LOVE LETTER….”
The Music Box is kinda set up like The Vic in Chicago…if you have been there? Well anyways, people were dropping from the balcony to crowd surf. The pit was more like that old school lovin’ type of pit where the whole floor was “in it” verses the new “10th generation” punk pit where a whole bunch of tools are running around looking to break bones and get kicked out. It was amazing!!! I swear you could feel the energy in the air. Everybody screaming and singing at the top of their lungs, arms thrown up in the air you’re not alive if you didn’t get goose bumps. Bodies were getting passed around like beach balls. The amps were so loud that you could feel the sound waves, sweat and booze in a misty haze all around you and the floor quaking under your feet. Everywhere you looked red, green, blue and purple lights would swallow up the darkness. I loved it! God, I can’t even explain it; it’s a feeling that can’t be put into words. At one point the crowd packed in so tight, swaying back and forth that my feet didn’t touch the ground for a whole song. We were all rhythmically swaying in an ocean of love and devotion. It was like a family reunited!!! It was defiantly worth the trip from Chicago to LA. You guys are the last hope for real rock n roll! Having never seen you, and only listening to your cd’s it was a privilege to see you guys live and I thank you.

PS. I respect the fact that you made your box sets personal, but the people on eBay are corrupting the integrity of your purpose. If I had known those were being sold at the show I definitely would have planned “monetarily” to buy one, but we were just fortunate enough that you guys added the Feb 18th show. Just a heads up for the selfish who are auctioning off the bands memories, I doubt you will ever really understand what it is to have music touch your soul….or maybe you do; but you’ve decided to put your own price on it. GO CUBS : )

I still owe you some “Iowa” chops from a few years ago. Looks like MCD will have to eventually swing through Iowa or even the Twin Cities for you to collect. I’m gonna be damn sore if I never get to experience this one more time. MCD/ATDI, Hairy Marys, DSM Iowa was the first show I went to with my now wife. Memories are made of this……….

How come the first night at the showbox isn’t available at ticketmaster? Is it sold out already?

I’m there the 12th but want to make both nights!! WHOOOOOO!!!!
